Since we are traveling the Sacajawea Historic Byway (SR-28 between Salmon and Mud Lake), we stopped in Salmon to tour the Sacajawea Center. This whole area is rich in Lewis & Clark history...in fact, the "Corps of Discovery" crossed the Continental Divide into Idaho at Lemhi Pass southeast of Salmon.
