SNOW!

Well, it's a good thing that we winterized the camper when we did, because there is now between 10" - 12" of snow on the ground and the high today is supposed to reach only 12 degrees with tonight's low -2 degrees!  Hopefully, we'll be able to slog our way through all the snow to the hospital later this morning (getting there requires traveling up some fairly steep hills); otherwise, our departure date from here will be postponed.

Yesterday, on the way home from Earl's radiation treatment, we stopped to pick up RV antifreeze.

Last year, when we put the camper in storage in La Grande, OR, and winterized it, we figured that would be the last time we'd have to do that...and it would have been had we not had to stay in Spokane because of Earl's radiation treatments. 

It's not a difficult job to winterize the camper, but it does require taking the camper off the truck in order to access the winterizing valve.  We got the job done and the camper back on the truck, so it's all set for whatever the weather brings.

Yesterday was Earl's 18th radiation treatment.  On Monday, they increased the power and went from four to seven places being irradiated.

So far, so good...Earl hasn't had any side effects from the radiation treatments.  We're keeping our fingers crossed that he continues to have no side effects!

On Monday, we took Gracie in to have her spayed, get her first rabies shot, and have a microchip implanted.  Washington only gives a one-year rabies shot; however, we will normally be in Arizona when the time comes to renew it, and Arizona gives a three-year shot.

Another month of treatments for Earl...assuming we don't lose a day because the machine is down (which happens on occasion, apparently), Earl's last treatment will be on the 6th of December and we'll be out of here on the 7th (assuming the weather cooperates).  Can't wait!
